  • gnp2 Image:Win.jpg : gnp2 (get new patch) is a script that assists you getting patches from the Microsoft website
The main idea for the script was born a few months ago. A new 'patchday' arrived and I (Ports) had to download various patches for different languages and operating systems. So I asked myself if it's possible to write a small script that would help me getting the current patches without visiting Microsofts website. Then a few months later I started to write this script and it seems to work very well for me. The requirements to work with gnp2 are grep (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grep) and wget (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wget). I used the GNU utilities for Win32 (http://unxutils.sourceforge.net/). But the Windows Services for UNIX (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/sfu/) or cygwin (http://www.cygwin.com/) should work as well.
