Arudius : Live security Linux distribution

Arudius is a Linux live CD with tools for information assurance (penetration testing, vulnerability analysis, etc). It is based on Slackware (Zenwalk) for i386 systems and targets the information security audience. It is released under the GNU GPL and contains only open-source software.

Pentoo : Live security Linux distribution

Pentoo is a penetration testing livecd based on Gentoo. It features a lot of tools for auditing and testing a network, from scanning and discovering to exploiting vulnerabilities. There are now a mini and a full version, the latter being a bit outdated at the moment. The mini version is modular like Slax, and the developers already created some modules for it. It can also be booted from a usb pen-drive, allowing easier updates. The gui are Enlightenment for the mini and Gnome for the bigger version.

SLAX : Live Slackware Linux distribution

SLAX is fast and beautiful Linux operating system which fits on small (3.14") CD-ROM disc. It runs directly from the CD (or USB) without installing. The Live CD described here is based on the Slackware Linux distribution and uses Unification File System (also known as unionfs), allowing read-only filesystem to behave as a writable one, saving all changes to memory.

Gparted : Live Linux distribution special in partition

Gparted is fast, small in size (~50mb), and use minimal resources to get that disk partitioned the way you want it. GParted LiveCD uses Xorg, the lightweight Fluxbox window manager, and the latest 2.6 Linux Kernel.

The CD also offers the following programs: parted and fdisk vi, ntfs-3g, partimage, testdisk, Terminal and Midnight Commander. And also tool to make screenshots.

GParted LiveCD runs on most x86 machines with a celeron 500mhz or better. And can be installed in a USB Flashdisc.
